Thursday 21^st June

I cried all last night and don't think I slept at all ..... and this morning my eyes were super red and tiny because they were all puffed up!!! I didn't want to go to school, but mum made me. I walked really, really slowly because I didn't want to get to the playground before the bell rang ..... and then I remembered that I had told everyone that I was just fine about the casting, and in fact it was my own suggestion that I didn't play Eliza .... so I had to have a smile on my face or else no one would believe me!!! Boy - if I ever needed to act convincingly it was today .... it was positively a star performance!!!

I laughed and smiled all day, and even said that I'd helpAbbie with her lines!!! I've now got to sit with her for the next 4 or 5 weeks whilst she learns to be Eliza .... I guess it serves me right for being so conceited and for telling fibs .... sigh ..... guess I'd better get used to the idea .... and if I'm not Eliza then I'm going to make sure that Abbie is the best Eliza EVER!!!!
